Montenegrin boxers Tomislav Đinović, Stefan Savković and Petar Marčić secured medals at the first EUBC Euro Cup hosted by Budva.
Đinović advanced to the semi-finals up to 60 kilograms by defeating Moldavian Vikor Vacula, so Montenegro secured the first medal in the competition.
The rival of Đinović in the fight for a place in the final is Radoslav Rosenov from Bulgaria.
Stefan Savković later beat Ladislav Horvat from Slovakia up to 70 kilograms, thus securing another medal for Montenegro. In the first fight, Savković defeated the Slovenian Edin Sejdinov, and tomorrow he will face a semi-final match against Sergio Martinez from Spain.
And Marčić won two matches to get a medal. After an exciting fight, Marčić defeated the experienced representative of Hungary, Pal Kovač, in the quarter-final fight of the category up to 80 kilograms. He made it to the top eight by winning against Petr Leskur from Croatia.
His rival in the fight for the final will be Vladimir Mironlikov from Serbia. The semi-final fights are scheduled for tomorrow at the Mediterranean Sports Center.
