Montenegrin chess player Predrag Nikač drew with Aleksej Streltsov from Israel in the eighth round of the World Singles Championship for people without and with visual impairments in Rhodes.
It is his first draw in the championship, after six wins and losses.
The Dutch defense was played, and Strelotsov decided after 50 moves of the fight to lead the game to a draw with eternal Chess.
With that draw, Nikač kept second place before the last round.
Nikač has half a point more than the group of five players, and in tomorrow's last, ninth round, he needs a positive result to win a medal.
Nikač is accompanied by FIDE master Nenad Aleksić in Rhodes.
