Budva volleyball players were defeated by Guaguas 3:0 (25:17, 25:18, 25:22), in the first game of the tournament of the second round of qualification for the Champions League.
Miljan Bošković's team did not open the meeting with Guagusas in Belgrade well. Right at the beginning of the match, they allowed the opponent to take a six-point advantage (8:2), which the Spanish team maintained until the end for 1:0 in sets (25:17).
Budva entered the second set very well, had a lead (6:4), but the champion of Spain managed to turn the result in his favor. A great fight was seen in this part of the game, however, Guaguas kept the advantage and celebrated 25:18.
The champion of Montenegro was in the game for a good part of the last set. Guaguas gained +4 during the middle of the third period, but Balša Radunović and his teammates melted away the advantage and forced the coach of the Spanish team to ask for a break at 13:14. Budva also had a result connection in the end at 21:23, however, the Spaniards had a calmer hand to win 3:0.
Captain Radunović was the best scorer in Budva, with 15 points, 13 were won by corrector Dodić. Hadžisalihović finished the match with seven points, Ćinćur won five, and only Ječmenica, who counted up to three, scored points. In the composition of the team from Las Palmas, Bezera Souza was the most effective with 16 points.
In the second match of the first day of group "V", the host Partizan will play against Innsbruck.
Budva volleyball players are expecting a duel with the black and white team from 20 pm on Saturday.
