The karate team of Montenegro finished the first competitive day of the Balkan Championship for cadets, juniors and junior seniors in Ljubljana with five medals - two gold and three bronze.
Junior senior Emre Saljiu and cadet Katarina Đukić became the champions of the Balkans.
Saljiu defeated Evangelos Seremetakis 75:3 in the final match of the category up to 2 kilograms.
Đukić won the gold medal by winning the final against Emina Fatušić from Bosnia and Herzegovina 7:1.
Saljiu and Đukić reached the final after five victories.
Bronze medals for cadets Mia Ramović in kata and Balša Danilović (up to 52) and junior Lazar Đurčević (up to 68).
The championship will continue tomorrow.
