Boxer Petar Liješević won the most votes in the online voting for the most successful athlete of the year, in the traditional selection of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee (COK).
According to the election proposals, the athlete who receives the most votes from visitors to the COK official website wins two votes in the final election for athlete of the year.
The session of the Board of Directors of COK, where the best in 2023 will be decided, is scheduled for Monday.
The list of candidates for the Montenegrin athlete was determined based on the submitted proposals of the national sports federations.
The candidates for the Montenegrin athlete are Nikola Golubović (sailing), Pavle Bošković (E-sport), Petar Liješević (boxing), Nenad Dulović (karate), Katarina Martinović (rugby), Nemanja Čađenović (kick boxing), Elizaveta Lugovskih (rhythmic gymnastics ), Dejan Vukčević (ju-jitsu), Miroslav Perković (water polo) and Miloš Vujović (handball).
COK will officially announce the best on December 27, at a ceremony in Villa Gorica.
