American Mikaela Šifrin is the winner of the fifth giant slalom of the season, which was held today in Linz for the World Cup of women's alpine skiing.
She was the leader even after the first run, and she won in a time of two minutes, five seconds and 98 hundredths of a second.
It is Šifrin's fourth victory this season, 92nd overall in the World Cup.
This season, the American triumphed in the slalom, in Levi and Killington, and in the downhill in St. Moritz.
Italian Federica Brignone was second, 38 hundredths of a second behind, while Sweden's Sara Hektor took third place with a time 45 hundredths slower than the winner.
The Canadian Valerie Grenier finished in fourth place, the fifth was the Austrian Julija Šcib, and the sixth was the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami.
Croatian Zrinka Ljutić had the tenth time.
Brinjone is the leader in the giant slalom standings with 400 points and has 35 more than the second-placed Gut-Behrami. Šifrin is third with 320 points.
Šifrin occupies the leading position in the overall ranking of the World Cup with 800 points. Brinjone is second with 637 points, and Petra Vlhova is third with 527 points. Female skiers will ride slalom tomorrow in Linz.
