French skier Siprijan Sarazan is the winner of the downhill, which is for the World Cup of alpine skiers driven to Kicbil.
He triumphed in a time of one minute, 55 seconds and 75 hundredths for his third victory of the season, fourth overall in his World Cup career.
Today, he became the first Frenchman since 1997 and Lika Alfan to celebrate in Kitzbühel.
This season, Sarazan celebrated in the same discipline in Bormio and last weekend in Wengen, in the super giant slalom.
In his career, he also won a parallel giant slalom in mid-December 2016 in Alta Badia.
Sarazan was five hundredths of a second faster than second-placed Italian Florian Schider, who finished on the podium for the second time in the World Cup, after finishing second in the downhill last year in Kitzbil.
The Swiss Marko Odermat took third place with a time 34 hundredths slower than the winner.
American Ryan Cochran-Sigle finished fourth, Canadian Cameron Alexander was fifth, and Italian Dominic Paris was sixth.
Odermat is the leader in the downhill ranking with 436 points. Sarazan is second with 410, while Paris is third with 269 points.
Odermat takes the leading position in the overall ranking of the World Cup with 1076 points, ahead of Sarazan (560) and the Austrian Mark Schwarz (464).
Skiers will also be skiing downhill in Kicbil tomorrow.
