Iskra karate player Balša Vojinović stopped his performance at the World Youth League in Fujeirah, in the United Arab Emirates, due to an injury in the third round.
Vojinović, in his debut appearance in the junior senior competition, in the category up to 60 kilograms, eliminated the Iranian Farzam Sadegi 4:1 and the Czech David Klevar 4:0.
In the third round, in the match against the Iranian Erfan Rahimzadeh, with the score 1:1, he renewed his knee injury and could not continue the fight.
During the European Championship in Larnaca, where he won the bronze medal, Vojinović injured his knee in the semi-finals, but managed to recover and reach the podium.
The representative of Iskra in kata, Katarina Vlahović, followed the recommendation of the doctor in Fujeirah and gave up the competition due to health problems.
