Furtula 13. in Leiria: "The worst competition I have participated in"

Montenegrin athlete Danijel Furtula finished his performance at the European Winter Throwing Cup in Leiria, Portugal, in 13th place.

He reached that ranking in the discus throw with a shot of 55,18 meters.

Furtula had the tenth result in group A, overall 13th overall.

23 athletes from 21 countries competed in the discus throw for medals.

"Definitely the worst competition I've participated in so far, the competition schedule was changed five times and the competition was delayed more than four and a half hours due to the heavy rain and storm that hit Leiria. The throwing circle was slippery and covered in water," he said. Furtula.

He emphasized that none of the participants of the competition achieved the planned results.

"The only good thing is that I didn't get hurt in the abnormal conditions for holding the competition," said Furtula.
