The selector of the women's senior volleyball team of Montenegro, Milorad Krunić, said that he is satisfied with the draw and that he believes in the chances against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Latvia in Group C of the European Championship qualifiers.
He emphasized that Montenegro got rivals with whom it can play on an equal footing.
"We know Bosnia and Herzegovina much better, we have played friendly matches with them for the past two years and we have always played them in a complete draw. We know Latvia a little less well, but we will definitely get to know them, we have a lot of video material through this year's European League. In any case, I am very satisfied with the group," Krunic said.
He believes that Montenegro has a great chance to qualify for the European Championship for the first time in history.
"We will certainly prepare for it and I will ask everyone, whether the coaching staff or the players, to try to go towards it, to think like this, that this is simply the chance of this generation to go to the European Championship," Krunic said. .
According to him, the most important thing is that all the girls are healthy and that they approach the European Championship smartly, step by step.
The senior qualification starts in Latvia (August 17 or 18, 2024), while the second game will be played at home against Bosnia and Herzegovina (August 24 or 25).
Next year, Milorad Krunić's team will host the selection of Bosnia and Herzegovina on August 6, while in the last round they will host the national team of Latvia (August 9 or 10).
