Montenegrin boxer Miloš Roganović was robbed in the quarter-final fight of the European Youth Championship in Poreč, in a welterweight match with Italian Christian Karol. The vote was 3:2, so Montenegro ended the competition in Poreč without a medal.
Paradoxically, after the first round in which he did not even receive a blow, the young man from Nikšić lost 3:2, and the round was deservedly scored by the French and Bulgarian judges. Roganović used the advantages of a larger range, and in the clinch he showed that he has faster hands than the shorter kicker from Italy.
In addition to his predispositions, he showed in the second round in only the 15th match of his career, a fighter from Nikšić and incomparably more knowledge than his rival, even in the finish of that round he shook Karol with a great right uppercut to the chin. But, instead of counting the Italian, the referee decided to complain about the equipment of our representative.
Again the score was 3:2, and in the third round there was the least amount of boxing, because Roganović was only able to win by knockout.
- I don't know what to say, I expected a convincing 5:0 in the second round, but the judges saw it differently. However, Miloš celebrated in Poreč in two great fights, in the previous one he even surpassed the silver winner from the previous championship, the Romanian Nika Tudoriu. The fact that he boxed only the 15th match in his career shows that he has an exceptional talent and if he continues to work dedicatedly, he has a great career ahead of him. The trial? Well, I wouldn't comment on that - said the coach of the Montenegrin national team and BK Nikšić, Boško Drašković.
Montenegro did not manage to reach the semi-finals and medal in Poreč. Filip Klepo was defeated in the first fight of the category up to 80 kilograms, while Roganović, after two great victories, was stopped in the quarterfinals of the category up to 67 kilograms
