European Football Week is organized in over 35 countries and more than 35 thousand Special Olympics athletes will participate.
Among them are athletes from Montenegro, and the Montenegrin association "Special Olympics", with the support of the Nikšić Special Olympics team, gathered six teams from Podgorica, Nikšić, Beran, Bijelo Polje and Tivat, who will demonstrate their skills in Nikšić during the weekend. football.
"Every last Sunday of May is dedicated to the 'European Football Week' and we are organizing it in Montenegro for the 15th time. This year we decided to do it in Nikšić. inclusive football is played, and six teams will compete in two divisions. I hope that the competition pass, as always, in true sportsmanship, that in the end you will all be happy and satisfied, and that we will celebrate all that later with medals and cups", said Ivan Radović, president of the Special Olympics of Montenegro.
The Vice-President of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly, Arsenije Lalatović, expressed his satisfaction that the event is being held in Nikšić, convinced that everyone together will prove to be good hosts. He greeted the participants of the event, wished them a nice sports weekend in Nikšić, and continued success of the event.
The "European Football Week" in Nikšić was opened by the Director General of the Sports Directorate, Zoran Jojić, who promised that the relevant ministry will always be there to "pave the way, both for Montenegro, and for European and world sports, where you have proved many times".
"I am sure that the results will grow from year to year. I would like to wish the host and organizer of this tournament, this week of football, a successful organization, which I have no doubts about, knowing their efforts and work all these years, and to you athletes, I wish you this the weekend passed not only in football, but also in sports and health in general", said Jojić and left the field to the young footballers.
