The head coach of the Montenegrin women's volleyball team, Milorad Krunić, announced the list of players for the start of preparations for the European Championship, which will be held in Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Sweden in 2026.
In the qualifiers, Montenegro will play in group D with the selections of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Latvia. This summer, our volleyball players will visit Latvia on August 17, while eight days later, on their home court in Bijelo Polje, they will welcome Bosnia and Herzegovina (August 25).
In August next year, Milorad Krunić's volleyball players will play matches with the same rivals - at home with Latvia and away with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Placement to the European Championship will be ensured by the winners of the groups, as well as the five best second-placed teams.
Bearing in mind that the Balkan Championship for junior women (U20) lasts until July 24, there is a possibility that the selector Krunić will join some players from that selection in the preparations.
Montenegro will start preparations on July 15 in Bijelo Polje.

middle blockers: Mina Dragović (Jedinstvo Stara Pazova, Serbia), Katarina Budrak (Romans, France), Saška Đurović (Red Star, Serbia), Lana Rakočević (Future Volley);
free: Melisa Cenović (Herceg Novi), Gordana Madžgalj (Jedinstvo).
Assistant coaches Mladen Miladinović and Luka Bogojević, conditioning coach Vladimir Ognjanović, statistician Milan Simojlović and physiotherapist Nikola Vojinović will assist coach Krunić in his work.
