Ukrainian athlete Jaroslava Mahučik broke the world record in the high jump today at the meeting of the Diamond League in Paris.
Mahučik jumped 210 centimeters, which is one centimeter better than the record held by the Bulgarian athlete Stefka Kostadinova since 1987.
Behind her were Nikola Olislagers from Australia (201 cm) and Serbian athlete Angelina Topić, who jumped 198 centimeters.
And the world record was also broken by Kenyan athlete Faith Kipjegon in the 1.500 meters race.
Kipjegon finished the race in 3:49,04 and thus entered history.
Second place went to Australian Jessica Hull (3:50,83), while British athlete Laura Muir (3:53,79) was third.
