Đinović: The goal is to reach the final

Para-shooter Milan Đinović said that by qualifying for the Paralympic Games he fulfilled his first goal, but that in Paris he will have a new one - qualifying for the finals, among the eight best in the world.

Đinović, debutant at the Games in Paris, will compete in the air rifle discipline, in the SH1 - R3 category.

He said that he is aware of the competition, but also of his quality and the effort put in during the preparations.

"I am aware of the difficulty of the task, bearing in mind the quality of the competition, which brings together the best shooters in the world. I also want to see where I stand in such a competition. I have no doubt that I will be fully prepared to travel to Paris and present my club, city and country in the right light there." , Djinović told the MINA agency.

He emphasized that he will do full preparations at his home club Berane with coach Željko Božović.

"I am satisfied with the training and fitness. I am also happy with the results and they are the best confirmation that we are on the right path," said Đinović.

Coach Željko Božović said that he was satisfied with Djinović's work in preparation and the level of results achieved.

"Our expectations have been met, just by qualifying for the Games in Paris. We will prepare and try to fulfill our new goal - qualifying for the finals," said Božović.

He emphasized that the competition in the R3 discipline will be exceptional.

"All the best are coming and being part of that competition is a big deal for Đinović and Montenegrin archery. This best says how much of a success it would be to qualify for the finals," said Božović.

He emphasized that 3 shooters will participate in the R45 competition.

Đinović received a special invitation from the Bipartite Commission of the International Paralympic Committee for his performance in Paris.

Montenegro will thus appear for the first time at the Games in para-archery.

Recently, at the European Championship in Granada, Djinović was only 0,1 lap away from qualifying for the Paralympic Games in Paris.

Last year, he confirmed the minimum qualifying standard for the Paralympic Games in Paris four times.
