The Olympic flag has arrived in Los Angeles where the authorities now have four years to prepare for the new Olympic Games (OI) after the recent ones held in Paris.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass landed in a plane emblazoned with the "LA 2028" logo, before walking down the runway with a five-lap flag in the presence of several American athletes.
Karen Bass said Los Angeles has "a lot to learn from Paris" about its ability to host the Olympics.
The Olympic Games in Paris were from July 26 to August 11.
