Montenegrin table tennis player Filip Radović finished his performance at the international tournament in the regular program, in Olomouc, Czech Republic, in the first round.
Radović, in a match with many twists and turns and after five sets, was defeated by German Wim Verdenshot 3:2 (8:11, 11:8, 1:11, 11:8 and 11:7).
The tournament was played in the WTT FEEDER SERIES category, for a prize fund of 40 thousand dollars.
Coach Vladimir Marić said that Radovć played a good match, especially considering that it was his first match of the season.
"He made some easy mistakes, uncharacteristic of him, and that decided the victory to go to the German side. I have to emphasize that I did not expect Verdenshot to be a player at this level, but he showed that he is a member of the German national team for a reason," said Marić.
He said that what he came to the tournament for was done to Olomuc.
"And that is for Filip to play one good, solid match and to see his form before the Paralympic games in Paris," said Marić.
