Montenegrin paraathlete Maja Rajković finished sixth in the javelin throwing competition at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
Today, in the F54 category (throws from a specialized chair), in her debut on the world's biggest stage, she ended the performance with a result of 12,63 meters. She threw the best shot in the last, sixth series.
In the other series, the javelin flew 12,26, 12,32, 11,98 and 12,51 meters.
In front of almost full stands of the stadium, France won Nurkon Kurbanova from Uzbekistan, with a new world record of 21,12 meters.
Kurbanova is a two-time consecutive world champion and silver medalist at the Tokyo Games.
Silver in Paris went to Flora Ugwunwa from Nigeria, gold from Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro with a result of 19,26 meters.
The winner's podium was completed by Elham Salehi from Iran with 16,24 meters.
Rajković concluded the performance of Montenegrin athletes at the Games in Paris.
The most significant result was achieved by table tennis player Filip Radović, who won the bronze medal.
Table tennis player Luka Bakić was stopped in the round of 26, while shooter Milan Đinović was XNUMXth in the qualifiers.
