The men's kata team of the Montenegrin karate team won the gold medal at the Serie A tournament in Salzburg.
The team consisting of Vladimir Mijač, Arijan Kočan and Kenan Nikočević won tonight in the final match against Turkey 41,30-41,10.
On the way to the finals, the KK Bar karate trio eliminated the teams from Germany 39,0 - 38,6, Serbia 39,10-38,30 and Turkey 38,50 - 38,40.
The podium was completed by the kata teams from Colombia and Germany.
Although they won a trophy and a medal at the European Championship, the team from Bar managed to win the gold medal for the first time in the tournaments of Series A and the Premier League.
At the same time, it was their first major test as part of the preparation for the World Championship, which will be held in Spain in mid-November.
