The recent captain of the Montenegrin national team Vojin Ćaćić and representative middle blocker Luka Babić strengthened the current champion of Montenegro - Budva.
Ćaćić is returning to Montenegrin volleyball after a decade, having left the Budva Riviera in 2014. After that he played in France, Iran, Turkey, Greece, Germany and Saudi Arabia.
"After 10 years of playing abroad, I returned to Budva to try to help the team achieve the best possible result in Europe. The first opponent is the Mladost team from Zagreb, a young team eager to prove itself, so I think we have a very tough job ahead of us. We have the experience of playing such matches, it is up to us to do our best, from the first to the last point, and in that case the result will certainly not be missing", said Ćaćić, as reported by the Association's website.
The middle blocker, Babić, is returning to the domestic championship after finishing the previous season in the Ukrainian team Žitichi Polisja. Babić previously played in Indonesia, and then in Germany. He started his career in the Budućnosti jersey, and then played for the Budva Riviera, Qatar Sport Club, Geneva, Black Volley from the Czech Republic and Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates.
"I am very motivated by returning to Budva, the city and the team that are significant for my professional beginnings. We are dedicated to training, and we have a great desire to contribute to the team in achieving the set goals. Before us is a challenging opponent, Mladost from Zagreb, a young and ambitious team in which two of our young national team members play. However, I believe that our quality and experience provide a great chance to advance to the next round. We are ready for two tough matches and we hope that all the effort will pay off and the result will be in line with expectations", Babić said.
Both have signed open contracts, which means that they can go if they receive an offer from abroad in the meantime, but it is certain that they will play Budva's first two European matches.
