Montenegrin karate representative Nikola Malović will perform tomorrow at the prestigious Croatia Cup - Top Eight tournament in Zagreb.
The organizer, the Karate Club of Croatia, announced that Zagreb will host an invitational tournament of eight top world fighters, in absolute competition, who will be divided into two groups.
The karateka from Nikšić's Onogošt is by the will of the draw in the blue group, which also includes local fighters Enes Garibović and Ivan Martinac, and the Ukrainian Rizvan Talibov.
Rivals in the red group will be Croatian Ivan Kvesić, Italian Mikele Martina, Greek Konstantinos Mastroyanis and Đorđe Tešanović from Serbia.
The winners of the groups will fight in the final, while the runners-up will decide the winner of the third place.
The competition in the Sports Hall "Boško Božić Pepsi" in Trnsko will start at 19 p.m.
Malović was a finalist of the tournament last year. The karate player from Nikšić Onogošt has two European medals in his career - bronze from Guadalajara in 2019 and silver with the men's team in the 2022 fights in Poreč.
