Montenegrin chess players Predrag Nikač and Radovan Damjanović achieved victories in the second round of the World Championship for visually impaired and blind people in Petrovac.
Nikač led the white pieces in a duel with Džafer Berisha, the representative of Kosovo, and in the early stages of the game he gained an advantage, which he implemented effectively and quickly.
It is Nikač's first victory in the competition, after yesterday's draw against Uzbekistan's Aksadiksan Kishamboev.
Damjanović outplayed the representative of Kosovo Daut Tišuki.
Experienced Damjanović led the black pieces, and with precise play he gained an advantage, which he skillfully turned into a full point.
The games of the third round are scheduled for tomorrow at 15:XNUMX.
Nine rounds are planned, and the organizers of the competition are the Paralympic Committee and the Chess Federation of Montenegro.
