McLaren driver Lando Norris claimed pole position ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix, the 21st race on the Formula 1 championship calendar.
If there are no further postponements due to the rain in Sao Paulo, the race for the Brazilian Grand Prix will start at 16,30:XNUMX p.m.
Norris reached the halfway point with a lap of 1:23.405 minutes, with a tenth and a half lead over George Russell in Mercedes. Third is Yuki Tsunoda from the RB team, whose teammate Liam Lawson will be fourth at the start.
Max Verstappen, the leader in the general classification, had only the 12th time and will start from the 17th position due to an engine change. Before the last four races of the season, the Dutchman has a 44-point lead over Norris.
Qualifying at Interlagos was postponed due to rain, so for the sixth time in the history of Formula 1 both qualifying and the race will be on the same day, but for the first time since the Japanese Grand Prix in 2019.
The rain really affected the Formula 1 weekend and as many as five drivers have damage to their cars.
