Excellent performance and absolute dominance of Montenegrin judokas at the European Championship of Small Countries, which was held last weekend in the capital of Cyprus - Nicosia. Our national team won five finals, after which they return to Montenegro with four championship titles.
Andrijana Šutović was the first to climb the podium, in the cadet competition up to 70 kilograms, after the final victory over the local competitor Maria Mihal.
After the competition in the cadet competition, the Montenegrin representatives achieved a top result in the senior competition by winning three first places and one second place.
In the category up to 90 kilograms, the first place was won by Novo Raičević, who defeated Aristos Mihael (Cyprus) in the final match.
In the super heavyweight category (+100 kg), the championship title was won by Anto Dubreta, after he was better than David Leskan Capdevilla from Andorra in the final.
In the girls' competition, in the +78 kilogram category, the title was won by Jovana Mrvaljević, who defeated Anja Kaizer, a member of the Linheštajn national team, in the final.
In the category up to 78 kilograms, second place went to Jovana Peković.
