The third tournament in the Montenegrin Championships in the Olympic version of rugby 7 was won by Crvena stijena from Podgorica, which was only two points closer to Mornar from Bar before the last tournament.
Crvena stijena showed incredible fighting spirit, winning in all three games, including a dramatic victory over a strong Tirana team in the last minute, with a score of 14:12. Tirana participates in the Montenegrin competition as a guest, considering that there are not enough rugby teams in their country to have a competition.
Barani unexpectedly lost to Crvena stijena and Tirana. Although they hold first place in the standings with 14 points, the Sailors' path to the title is now much more uncertain.
The Budućnosti team from Podgorica showed significant progress, playing bravely against more experienced opponents, while Arsenal from Tivat has given up the competition for the time being. In the table, Mornar now has 14 points, Crvena stijena 12, Tirana eight, Budućnost three and Arsenal from Tivat has one point.
The last tournament of this year's rugby championship will be played on November 24 in Shkodër. At this final tournament, it will be decided who will take the title of champion of Montenegro in rugby 7s. Crvena stijena has a chance to overtake Sailor and take the throne, but the team from Bar will certainly not give up the lead easily.
The tournament also featured a match between Mornar and Budva youth teams, who played beautiful rugby, full of action. Barani beat Budva 22:19, with only one goal difference, although Budva was in the lead until the very end.
In the third tournament, the following results were achieved: Mornar - Buducnost 33:14, Crvena stijena - Tirana 14:12, Buducnost - Crvena stijena 5:36, Tirana - Mornar 15:14, Buducnost - Tirana 7:29 and Crvena stijena - Mornar 24 :14.
