Ukrainian Bogdan Semenovič is the winner of the marathon that was held today as part of the international sports and tourism event Podgorica Milenium ran.
Semenović crossed the finish line, on the Millennium bridge in Podgorica, in a time of two hours, 19 minutes and 30 seconds.
Kenyan Stanley Kipruto, who won in Podgorica the previous two years, finished in second place (2:23,39), while Hungarian Mate Vasarhelji was third (2:24,03).
In the women's competition, Hungarian Tunde Sabo was the fastest (2:44,50), ahead of Ukrainian Natalia Semenovič (2:45,28) and compatriot Frizina Bakonji (2:53,26).
Of the Montenegrin marathon runners, Miloš Vojvodić was eighth (2:46,49), while Jelena Ivković took sixth place (3:27,55).
In the half marathon, at 21,1 kilometers, Hungarian Adam Lomb won (1:05,10).
Nikola Mijailović from Serbia finished second (1:07,06), while Australian Sam Blake came third (1:07,45).
The best Montenegrin runner was Željko Dabović in seventh place (1:11,57).
In the women's competition, Montenegrin half-marathoner Ingrid Molenkof Rajović (1:14,49) was the fastest, ahead of athletes from Serbia Teodora Simović (1:18,55) and Nevena Jovanović (1:21,09).
Edis Dautović won the ten kilometers, ahead of Stevan Andrejević and Petr Roćen. In the same discipline, in the women's competition, Ana Krivokapić celebrated, Italian Chiara Rota took second place, while her compatriot Francesca Grazia Barone took third.
The five-kilometer pleasure race was run by Abedin Mujezinović from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Miljan Kukulić was second, while Dragoljub Koprivica was third. In the women's competition, Hana Efović won, ahead of Andrea Saitaj and Jelena Maliković.
The introduction to the competitive part of the program was the firemen's race, in which Alen Emšija won again, ahead of Dušan Šušić and Mitar Martinović.
Today, the capital city witnessed the fourth edition of Podgorica Milenium Rana, an event that gathered around 2.700 participants of all generations from practically all continents.
