Ferstappen won in Qatar

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won tonight's race for the Qatar Grand Prix, the penultimate race in this season's Formula 1 championship.

Ferstappen, who secured his fourth consecutive world title last Sunday, recorded the 63rd victory of his career in Qatar.

Second place at the night race in Qatar was taken by Charles Leclerc from Ferrari, while Oskar Piastri from McLaren finished third.

George Russell from Mercedes finished in fourth place, Pierre Gasly from Alpin crossed the finish line fifth, and Carlos Sainz from Ferrari took the sixth position.

Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), Joe Guanju (Zauber), Kevin Magnussen (Haas) and Lando Norris from McLaren were also placed in tenth place, who also received an additional point for the fastest lap.

In the drivers' championship, Verstappen is in first place with 429 points, Norris is second with 349 points, while Leclerc is in third place with 341 points.

McLaren leads the constructors' standings with 640 points, while Ferrari is in second place with 21 points less.

The last race of the season is next Sunday in Abu Dhabi.
