Montenegrin swimmer Miloš Milenković swam the 100-meter butterfly race at the World Championship in small pools in 53,36 seconds, which is only 12 hundredths slower than Montenegro's record. In the overall ranking, he took 49th place.
"We expected a time under 53 seconds, but we are at the beginning of the season, so we still have a lot to do," said coach Danijela Franeta.
Milenković broke the Montenegrin record in the 50-meter butterfly race in Budapest, achieving a time of 23,89, which is ten hundredths better than the previous record, which was also his property.
The second and last appearance at the World Championship will be tomorrow for Jovana Kuljač, who will compete in the 50-meter freestyle event.
Two days ago, Kuljača achieved a personal record in the 50-meter backstroke in a time of 30,10 seconds.
