Members of the Podgorica table tennis club Luča - Dejan Bašanović, Uroš Gugolj and Milijana Ćirković - won silver medals, while Pjetro Paljušević and Đuro Krivokapić finished the second competitive day of the Podgorica open international tournament for people with disabilities with bronze medals.
Bašanović and Gugolj, in the combined categories 8-10, were defeated in the final by the Bulgarian team, for which Paun Vatov, Jordan Mitev and Jordanka Todorova performed.
Bronze was won by Dražen Gerl and Tomislav Blažević in the Croatian team, respectively the Bosnia and Herzegovina team, consisting of Haris Eminović and Darko Pavlić.
Ćirković, in a pair with Hamid Podbićanin, won the silver medal in the combined categories 6-7.
The gold medal went to the team of Bosnia and Herzegovina consisting of Edib Šahman and Emir Muminović.
In addition to Paljušević and Krivokapić, bronze medals were also won by Igor Postolov and Marjan Zafirovski from North Macedonia.
In category 2-5, all medals were won by teams from Serbia.
Nebojša Ilić and Andrej Radulović won gold medals, Goran Perlić and Kristina Grbović won silver, Bojan Stamenković and Danijela Crnoglavac, Vladan Petković and Danijela Lučanin won bronze.
Luča table tennis players finished the first competitive day of the sixth international tournament for people with disabilities, Podgorica Open, with seven medals - one gold and one silver and five bronze.
Samra Kojić won the gold medal, Dejan Bašanović won the silver, while Milijana Ćirković, Pjetro Paljušević, Slobodan Mihailović, Miljan Cerović and Miloš Mudreša received bronze medals.
The competition in the Verde sports hall gathered more than 60 table tennis players from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia and Montenegro.
The organizer of the tournament was the Table Tennis Club of People with Disabilities Luča, and it was played under the auspices of the Capital City and with the support of the Paralympic Committee, the Table Tennis Association and the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
