Jordan Crooks from the Cayman Islands, the first swimmer in history to swim 50 meters under 20 seconds at the World Championships in small pools in Budapest.
His result is 19,9 seconds, and he broke the personal and world record from the Budapest qualification, which was 50 seconds in the 20,08 freestyle.
Canadian swimmer Samer McIntosh won a gold medal today and set a new world record in the 400-meter medley at the World Championships in small pools in Budapest.
McIntosh won in 4:15,48 minutes, 3,46 seconds faster than the previous world record, set by Spain's Mireja Belmonte Garcia in 2017 in Eindhoven.
McIntosh also broke her junior record, which she set in 2022 in Toronto.
The silver medal was won by the American Katie Grimes with 4,66 seconds behind, while the bronze medal was won by the British woman Abby Wood with 8,86 seconds behind.
Russian swimmer Ilya Borodin won the gold medal in the 400-meter medley. Borodin, competing under a neutral flag, won in 3:56,83 minutes.
American Carson Foster won the silver medal with 0,62 seconds behind, while Italian Alberto Raceti won the bronze medal with two seconds behind.
