Montenegrin high jumper Marija Vuković won the Greek Indoor Championships in Athens and qualified for the European Indoor Championships in the Netherlands.
Vuković cleared the bar at 183 centimeters, the same as second-place Greek Tatjana Gusin, but with multiple attempts. Vuković triumphed at the Balkan Indoor Championships in Belgrade in mid-February, with a jump of 180 centimeters.
At the season opener, at the end of January, she jumped 190 centimeters and won second place at the indoor meeting in Belgrade.
Vuković successfully returned to the athletics scene after a several-month break due to injury.
She will be the sole representative of Montenegro at the European Indoor Championships, which will be held from March 6 to 9 in Apeldoorn. Her coach, Greek Vasilikos Dimitrios, will travel with her to the Netherlands.
Vuković will jump in the qualifications on March 7th at 11 am. The final is scheduled for two days later at 17:XNUMX pm.
Vuković expects a large number of outdoor competitions this season, culminating in the World Championships in Tokyo, from September 13th to 21st.
