The international 50-kilometer ultramarathon, Montenegro 2025, will be held on March 30 in Podgorica, the organizers announced today.
The Podgorica ultramarathon is being held for the 26rd time, and this year the ultramarathoners will run along Crnogorski Serdara street, next to the Ljubović hill.
The circular path is a kilometer long.
The time limit for the competition is limited to six hours, so the official result will be valid only for those competitors who cover 50 kilometers during that time.
The ultramarathon will be the official championship of Montenegro, and is held as part of the Podgorica Running Day event, with the aim of animating and involving as many running enthusiasts as possible in the capital and Montenegro.
It was also announced that the five and ten kilometer races will be the official road championships of Montenegro.
As part of the ultramarathon, there are also fun races of three, five, ten and 21 kilometers.
The President of the Organizing Committee of the event, Milorad Backović, appealed for as many people as possible to engage in sports in the Capital and Montenegro.
"In the last few years, there have been more and more enthusiasts who engage in sports for pleasure in order to preserve their health. I invite all running enthusiasts to get involved as much as possible and participate in three, five and ten kilometer races, and those who wish can also try their hand at a 21 or 50 kilometer race," said Backović.
The technical organizer of the event is ATK Podgorica Marathon, in cooperation with the Athletics Federation of Montenegro, under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
