Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton said today that he needs some time to fully familiarize himself with the car.
Hamilton finished eighth in qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix today.
"I want to get better lap by lap, race by race. It will take me time to get to know the car. The car is so different and it will take time," Hamilton said, as reported by the BBC.
The fastest in qualifying was Lando Norris from McLaren with a time of 1:15,096 minutes, and second place was taken by his club colleague Oskar Piastre, 0,084 seconds behind.
Reigning world champion Max Verstappen took third place, 0,385 seconds behind the winner.
The top ten also includes George Russell (Mercedes), Yuki Tsunoda (RB), Alexander Albon (Williams), Charlemagne Leclerc (Ferrari), Pierre Gasly (Alpine) and Carlos Sainz (Williams).
The Australian Grand Prix is scheduled for tomorrow at 05:00.
