The U18 men's volleyball team of Montenegro advanced to the finals of the MEVZA tournament, after defeating the Ramat Aviv team from Israel 3:0 (25:19, 25:23, 25:23) in the semi-finals, thus crowning excellent matches in Zadar.
In the first match of the second day of the tournament, coach Dejan Radić's team lost to the Hungarian Kecskemet 3:2 (19:25, 25:17, 18:25, 25:17, 17:15) in the match for first place in the group.
There was no uncertainty in the semi-finals - Luka Lojić and his teammates were at the level of yesterday's games and confidently defeated the Israeli team.
Budva's first team players were outstanding - Vasilije Milenković scored 14 points, Vuk Stanojević scored 11, and captain Lojić scored nine.
In the last match of the group stage, coach Radić shuffled the cards, and the match could easily have gone in favor of our young volleyball players.
Lojić, Stanojevic and Milenković rested for the semifinals, and all other players scored at least one point - the most was Vasilije Božović, with 14, followed by Mihajlo Grupković and Jovan Drešić with 12 points each, and Kosta Poleksić with one point less.
In the first appearance of a Montenegrin men's volleyball team at the MEVZA tournament, our great U18 national team will face the Brno team from the Czech Republic in tomorrow's final, scheduled for 20 p.m., after defeating the Slovak team Trenčín 3:0 (25:21, 25:19, 25:22).
