Goalball club Nikšić defeated Nais from Niš 13:7 and recorded its third triumph at the Champions League qualifying tournament in Podgorica.
Nais took the lead practically from the first attack in the Verde Hall, but the rest of the match was dominated by coach Nikola Čurović's team, which turned the score around to 4:1 by halftime.
The series continued in the second half, and the home team took an 8:1 lead and practically solved all the dilemmas.
The most efficient players in the winning team were Nikola Nikolić and Matej Ledinek with five goals each, Velizar Obradović scored two, and captain Marko Nikolić scored one goal.
Nikšić also celebrated against Thessaloniki 13:3 earlier today, and achieved the victory with a stoppage time in the last minute.
According to the regulations, the game is stopped when one of the teams gains an advantage of ten goals.
The Montenegrin representative justified his role as the favorite, leading 7:1 by halftime and practically solving the question of the winner.
The most efficient player in the winning team was Nikola Nikolić with five goals, Miloš Ranitović scored three, and Marko Nikolić and Velizar Obradović scored two each. Matej Ledinek also scored.
Nikšić was also better than the Danish team BSI 15:9 yesterday, and their only defeat was against the Polish Grundogas from Krakow 9:4.
Coach Nikola Čurović's team will continue their tournament competition with a duel against Stockholm (17.10).
The tournament will end tomorrow with a duel with the Turkish team Belediyesi (9.40).
The top three teams will qualify for the season finale in Matosinhos, Portugal, from June 19th to 23rd.
The German Hansa, Finnish Nepaja and Lithuanian Lions qualified for Portugal from the first qualifying tournament in Rostock.
