The winner of the third race of the Moto GP season is Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaja. It is the Italian rider's 40th career victory, and his 30th in the premier class!
The tragic figure is his Ducati colleague, Marc Marquez, who had pole position in all three races since the start of the season, won all three sprints and two races, but in the third he made a mistake in the leading position and went off the track on the 9th lap.
Bagnaia got off to a great start, passing Alex Marquez on the Gresini Ducati on lap four, the Italian having a good rhythm. The younger of the Marquez brothers, Alex finished second, with Fabio di Gianantonio on the VR46 Ducati in third.
After three races, Alex Marquez leads the overall standings with 87 points, followed by his brother Marc with 86 and Francesco Bagnaia with 75.
The season continues in Qatar from April 11th to 13th.
