Montenegrin sailor Milivoj Dukić is in sixth place after the first final day of the Grand Slam - the 54th Princess Sofia Trophy regatta in Mallorca.
Dukić, who was in 20th place before today's race, has moved up to sixth place (9,3) in the overall standings and now has a realistic chance of competing in the medal race, which is scheduled for Saturday.
Another Montenegrin sailor, Ilija Marković, failed to make it to the final, or gold, group.
Dukić was at 19th place after the first day of competition, had fluctuations during the second qualifying day, but remained in 20th place in the overall standings, and then sailed brilliantly during the first final day.
He finished the first regatta in ninth place, the second in third place.
Two more final days follow, with 174 of the best sailors on the planet competing, 58 of whom made it to the final group.
Ahead of two more final days, or four regattas, the TOP 10 includes Michael Beckett (Great Britain), Elliot Henson (Great Britain), Lorenzo Chiavarrini (Italy), Giorgos Papadakos (Greece), Finn Lynch (Ireland), Milivoj Dukić (Montenegro), Jonathan Vadnai (Hungary), Zach Littlewood (Australia), Stefano Pesqueira (Peru), Joel Rodriguez Perez (Spain).
