From Friday to Sunday, the Igalo Sports Hall will host the three-day final tournament of the Conference League (Europhe Trophy), the third-ranked European club table tennis competition.
Twelve teams will participate in the men's competition, and ten teams in the women's competition.
Montenegro will be represented by table tennis players from the Herceg Novi club Novi, who will make their debut on the international stage.
Zagreb, Željezničar from Niš, representatives from Belgium, Spain, Greece, Latvia, Estonia, Austria, Slovakia and two clubs from Italy will also compete.
STK Novi brought reinforcements from Croatia, Portugal, Belarus and Serbia for the third European Cup.
It will be led by Montenegrin national team players Filip Radović and Filip Radulović, and the team will also include Tomislav Pucar, Enio Mendes, Aleksandar Kalin, Marko Jevtović,
Captain Radović said that there will be a lot of strong players together. "We have a tough task ahead of us, but I believe we are ready for a successful performance in the Grand Final. We have become part of the European club calendar and that is a big deal. Our tournament in Igalo is part of the final of one of the three club competitions. After Igalo, the Europa League final will follow in mid-April, and the Champions League final will be in early June," said Radović.
In the women's competition, in addition to three clubs from Austria, clubs from Belgium, Estonia, Greece, Malta, Italy, as well as representatives of the Duga Resa region from Croatia and Josip Kolumbo from Niš will also compete.
The first and second round matches are on Friday, while the third round is on Saturday morning.
The quarterfinal clashes in both competitions are on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday is reserved for the semi-final matches, while the finals are scheduled for 19 p.m.
The tournament organizer, STK Novi, was supported by the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Secretariat for Social Affairs, and the Table Tennis Federation of Montenegro.
