The Montenegrin School Sports Federation expedition traveled to Zlatibor, where they will participate in the European High School Basketball and Volleyball Championships, as well as the World Primary School Chess Championships, until April 10th.
Montenegro will be represented at the European Volleyball Championship (in men's and women's competitions) by the "Danilo Kiš" Mixed High School from Budva, and in men's basketball by the "Tanasije Pejatović" High School from Pljevlja.
The "Olga Golović" Elementary School will compete at the World Chess Championship for Elementary Schools.
The women's volleyball team of the "Danilo Kiš" High School, coached by Predrag Ćorluka, consists of Anastasija Kovačević, Jovana Kovačević, Aleksandra Rajović, Jovana Cerović, Anastasija Kažanegra, Viktorija Čoković, Anđela Nikolić, Lenka Liješević, Andrea Dakić, Neda Miličić, Mitra Gudelj and Elena Čolaković.
The men's team of that school, which is part of the Fair Play School Sports Association, includes Luka Gavrilović, Petar Prenkočević, Darko Tučević, Petar Milosavljević, Veljko Lakićević, Petar Živković, Ilija Marović, Batric Milašević, Filip Milosavljević and Vukota Čelebić.
The volleyball players will be led from the bench by Željko Božović, along with Ćorluka.
The men's basketball team of the "Tanasije Pejatović" High School consists of Janko Petrović, Andrija Starčević, Matija Bošković, Miloš Milinković, Danko Bošković, Arsenije Peruničić, Bogdan Golubović, Marko Mojović, Matija Cupara and Lazar Gospić, and will be led by coach Goran Marjanović.
Under the leadership of Professor Momčilo Pekić, the chess team of the "Olga Golović" Elementary School will compete at the World Championship, consisting of Petar Popović, Marko Sredanović, Stefan Mihajlović, Viktor Vasiljević and Anita Rovčanin.
The leader of the Montenegrin expedition will be Lazar Macanović, from the "Niko Rolović" Gymnasium in Bar.
The president of the Montenegrin School Sports Federation, Budimir Vukićević, will also be visiting Zlatibor, where he will participate as a delegate at the electoral assembly of the International School Sports Federation.
The assembly will be held on Tuesday, and the agenda will include the election of a new president of the International School Sports Federation.
"In organizing the trip and stay of the numerous expedition on Zlatibor, the Montenegrin School Sports Federation had the help and support of the Municipalities of Budva and Pljevlja, as well as the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation," the statement reads.
