The table tennis players from Herceg Novi are the winners of the final tournament of the Conference League, the third-ranked European club table tennis competition.
Novi defeated the Slovak team Čadca 3:1 in the final in Igalo.
Tomislav Pucar led the Montenegrin champion to the European trophy with two triumphs, against Damjan Flor 3:1 and Mihailo Lov 3:1.
Enio Mendes also won (3:1), and the only defeat was suffered by Marko Jevtović against Lov 3:2.
The championship team also included Aleksandar Kalin and Montenegrin national team members Filip Radović and Filip Radulović.
Earlier today, Novi defeated Željezničar from Niš 3:2 in the semifinals, after a great fight.
The Herceg Novi team finished the competition in first place with two triumphs in Group D.
They won against the Italian team Marcozzio 3:2 and the Spanish team Olot 3:0, while in the quarterfinal match they eliminated Nulvi from Italy 3:0.
In the women's competition, the trophy was won by the Croatian team Akvastil Duga Resa, which beat the Nis team Josip Kolumbo 3:1 in the final match.
