The Montenegrin rugby team lost to Slovenia 39:22 in a dynamic match in which the rivals exchanged the lead four times.
The match was played at the auxiliary field of FK Sutjeska in Nikšić in the Conference division of the European Nations Cup.
The Slovenians took their first lead in the ninth minute after being awarded a penalty kick, which they converted to make it 3:0.
In the very next minute, the home team organized a good attack, Dušan Vučićević successfully broke through the defense and scored an essay for a lead of 5:3. Novica Raonić was accurate from the conversion shot for 7:3.
In the next 10 minutes, the referee awarded two penalty kicks for the guests, which they successfully used to take a 9:7 lead.
In the 25th minute, Montenegro also took advantage of a penalty kick from Raonic's shot (10:9), and then Marko Andric finished off a good attack with an essay for a 15:9 lead.
However, Slovenia was then awarded a penalty kick when they reduced the gap (15:12), and three minutes later they took a 19:15 lead.
Two minutes before the end of the first half, the guests were awarded another penalty shot, which they used, then they stopped the Montenegrin team's attack and scored another try and a turnover - for a lead of 29:15. It was then 34:15...
Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina each won nine points, Montenegro five, and Kosovo has no points.
The decision on first place will be made in the last match of the season between Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 26th.

Special guests at today's match were members of the Association of Children and Youth with Down Syndrome, who carried the Montenegrin flag in front of the national team as they entered the stadium and sang the national anthem.
