Milivoj Dukić is in tenth place, and Ilija Marković is in 28th place after the first final day of the Gold Group of the sailing Grand Slam in Le Havre, France.
Dukić had problems on the first final day of the regatta and dropped one place, but he is still in the lead in the medal race. Marković sailed brilliantly, moving up to 41th place with a score of 28. There is one more final day and two regattas to go.
The Grand Slam in Le Havre, France, brought together 112 of the world's best sailors, 56 of whom made it to the final, or Gold Group.
Ahead of the final day, the top ten are Nicholas Halliday (Hong Kong), Dimitri Peroni (Italy), Duko Bos (Netherlands), Francisco Rigonat (Argentina), Thomas Sanders (New Zealand), Jonathan Vadnay (Hungary), Attilio Borio (Italy), Evan McMahon (Ireland), Filip Jurišić (Croatia) and Milivoj Dukić (Montenegro).
Dukić finished 12th at his first Grand Slam, in Palma de Mallorca, and was one point away from the medal-deciding regatta. Marković was one point short of qualifying for the final group.
For Montenegrin sailors, the Grand Slam in Leros is also a dress rehearsal for the World Championships, which will be held in China in May.
