An interesting discussion in Tivat, during which questions were raised regarding Montenegro's need for institutions that combine sports, health and tourism, as well as the role of such concepts in the development of tourism outside the summer season.
As announced by the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, special emphasis was placed on the importance of connecting sports infrastructure projects with preparations for major international competitions, including the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
The conference call titled "Sport, Wellness and Tourism - New Energy for the Development of Montenegro" covered topics of strategic importance for the future development of Montenegro.
The panel included Dragoslav Šćekić, Minister of Sports and Youth of Montenegro, Dušan Simonović, President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, and Nick van Vonsel, Director of the SIRO Boka Place Hotel.

Simonović emphasized that SIRO Boka Place brings new value to the Montenegrin sports system, providing our athletes with conditions for preparation in accordance with world standards.
Šćekić emphasized the importance of strategic investment in infrastructure that connects sports, health and tourism, and emphasized that such projects contribute to the diversification of Montenegro's tourism offer and its sustainable development.
Van Vonsel expressed pride that his hotel is becoming a home for athletes, recreational athletes, and everyone who chooses a healthy life.
"It was particularly emphasized that SIRO Boka Place will play a significant role in the preparations of Montenegrin athletes for the 2028 Olympic Games, through the provision of infrastructure for training and recovery. This event confirmed that Montenegro, through cooperation between the public and private sectors, is building the foundations for positioning itself as a regional center of sports and wellness tourism," the MOC emphasized.
