The Assembly of the Paralympic Committee of Montenegro adopted today the Financial and Work Report for 2024, as well as the Work Plan and Program with the Financial Plan for 2025.
All reports were adopted unanimously, with the votes of 13 out of 18 delegates.
It was noted that 2024 was an extremely successful year for Montenegrin Paralympic sport and that the crowning achievement was a bronze medal at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
President Igor Tomić said that he was satisfied with the entire Paralympic cycle from Tokyo to Paris, recalling the numerous European medals and successes on the international stage.
He emphasized that he expected greater financial support from the Ministry of Sports and Youth and that he expects this to change through amendments to the Law on Sports, which will request a fixed percentage for the umbrella association of Montenegrin sports for people with disabilities.
Tomić said that Paralympic sport is well positioned and that he is pleased with the support of sponsors.
Presenting the plan and program with the financial plan, it was noted that 2025 is a year of great challenges and expectations.
It was announced that Montenegrin athletes expect to perform at continental and world championships, where they will seek a place on the winners' podium.
The Assembly accepted the Leonid Table Tennis Club from Bijelo Polje into full membership and appointed Zoran Čabarkapa as a delegate.
The Assembly was chaired by President Goran Macanović, and 13 out of a total of 18 delegates participated in its work.
