Montenegrin table tennis player Filip Radović is the winner of the Montenegro 2025 international table tennis tournament in Podgorica.

The best Montenegrin Paralympian today defeated the Pole Pavel Vlodika 9:10 (3:0, 11:5, 11:9) in the final of the combined categories S11-9, whom he was better than in the group.

This is Radović's third trophy from the Podgorica tournament, after being the best in the previous two years.

Earlier today, Radović eliminated Japan's Mahir Funayama 3:2 (7:11, 11:7, 11:5, 8:11, 11:9) in the semi-final match.

He qualified for the semifinals as the winner of the first group, after triumphing over German Mio Wagner 3:2 and Pole Wlodika 3:0.

Bronze medalist at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo and Paris, Radović won the trophy in Wladyslawowo, Poland, without dropping a set this season.

"I am pleased that I managed to defend the trophy and be the best in front of the home crowd again. Thank you to everyone who came to support me. I played well, the matches were not easy, there were some uncertain ones, starting with Vagner in the group. After five sets, I also celebrated in the semi-finals. I am glad that I remained calm in those moments and managed to turn the match in my favor," said Radović.

He said that he expected Igor Mištal in the final, but Vlodika prepared a surprise.

Radović announced that he will be playing two consecutive tournaments in Laško starting next week.

"It won't be easy, primarily because of the many tournaments I've been playing lately. I'll definitely give my best, I hope I play well," said Radović.

His club and national teammate Luka Bakić was stopped in the quarterfinals - Pavel Vlodika was the better player (3:1), who eliminated Mištal in the semifinals after five sets.

Of the other Montenegrin representatives, only Nikola Kaluđerović made it to the knockout stage, who was stopped in the round of 3 by Slovak Ričard Cejti 0:XNUMX.

The group winners were Miloš Mudreša (10), Ambroz Nikač (S3), Đuro Krivokapić (S6), Slobodan Mihailović, Pjetro Paljušević (S7), Igor Mijović and Uroš Gugolj (S8), Milijana Ćirković (S6) and Samra Kojić (S4-5), who was the only one to achieve victory.

The tournament will continue tomorrow with matches in doubles and mixed doubles.

Montenegro will be represented by Krivokapić and Paljušević (MD14), Gugolj and Bakić (MD18) and Gugolj and Ćirković (mix XD14) and Samra Kojić in doubles and mixed doubles.

Radović will compete in the Challenger in Laško, Slovenia next week.
