Montenegrin table tennis player Filip Radović will participate in an international tournament in Laško, Slovenia, starting tomorrow, the Paralympic Committee (POK) announced.
Radović will compete for the trophy in the S10 category, and he traveled to Laško accompanied by national team coach Vladimir Marić.
The challenger in the Slovenian spa brought together 290 table tennis players from 38 countries around the world.
Radović had a good overture for Laško at the Montenegro 2025 tournament in Podgorica, where he won the trophy for the third time in a row.
Eight table tennis players have registered in category 10, and Radović is the seed in the first group, which also includes Japanese Mahiro Funayama, Chilean Manuel Echaveguren and Mateo Scuto from Luxembourg.
The second group includes Austrian Christian Gardos, Spaniard José Manuel Ruzi Reyes, Gabriel Antúñez De Oliveira from Brazil and German Mio Wagner.
Tomorrow, on the first day of competition, Radović will play against Ečaveguren (9.35) and Funayama (14.05), while the day after he will meet with Skuta (11.20).
The semi-final matches, as well as the final, are scheduled for May 8th.
Laško will also host the elite tournament, from May 12th to 16th, and among the world's best table tennis players will be Radović and Luka Bakić.
"The participation of Montenegrin table tennis players in Laško is financed under the POK program for 2025, which was supported by the Ministry of Sports and Youth," the Paralympic Committee announced.
