Ducati rider Marc Marquez achieved his sixth consecutive sprint victory this season, as he was the fastest in the sprint that took place as part of the French Grand Prix at Le Mans today.
Marquez has triumphed in all six sprint races this season, and today he won with a time of 19:49,022 minutes.
Second place was taken by his younger brother Alex Marquez from Gresini, 0,530 seconds behind, and third was Fermin Aldeger from Gresini, 2,164 seconds behind.
Fourth place was taken by Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo, 2,840 seconds behind, and fifth was Maverick Viñales of KTM Tech3, 5,285 seconds behind.
Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaja went off the track on the second lap.
Marc Marquez has now taken the lead in the overall standings with 151 points, two more than his younger brother. Banjaja is third with 120 points.
Qualifying for the race took place earlier today, and Quartararo will start from pole position on Sunday, having been the fastest with a time of 1:29,34 minutes.
Second was Marc Marquez, 0,118 seconds behind, and third was Alex Marquez, 0,247 seconds behind.
The French Grand Prix race takes place on Sunday at 14 p.m. in Le Mans.
