Danish cyclist Mads Pedersen won the third stage of the legendary Giro d'Italia, taking the lead in the overall standings.
The Lidl-Trek driver completed the 160-kilometer stage, which was driven around the Albanian city of Vlora, in a time of three hours, 49 minutes and 47 seconds.
Second place went to New Zealander Corbin Strong, while Venezuelan representative Orluis Aular finished third.
After the first three stages, which were ridden in Albania, Pedersen leads the overall standings with a total time of seven hours, 42 minutes and 10 seconds, Slovenian Primož Roglič is second, nine seconds behind, and Czech cyclist Matijas Vacek is third, 14 seconds behind.
Tomorrow is a day off at the Giro, and the competition continues on Tuesday with a stage in Italy, from Alberobello to Lecce.
