Montenegrin para tennis player Filip Radović is the winner of the international Elite tournament in Laško in the doubles competition.
Radović and Croatian Borna Zohil won the final of the MD 18 category after a major upset by Spaniard Ander Cepas and Juan Bautista Perez 3:2 (4:11,5:11,11:5,11:5, 11:9).
This is Radović's second medal at the Elite, after he won silver in the individual competition.
He and Zohil achieved their triumph in the doubles competition after five wins and one loss.
Radović and Zohil finished the competition in second place in the group with two wins and one loss.
They defeated Sing Ka Ho and Yin Chi Wong from Hong Kong 3:1 (14:16, 11:9, 11:9, 11:9) and Australians Nathan Pelissier and Lucas Milsom 3:1 (6:11, 11:8, 11:3, 11:8), and their only defeat came from the Spanish pair Cepas and Perez, whom they got their revenge on in the final.
In the knockout phase, they eliminated Brazilians António de Oliveira and Juan Carlos Maschio 3:1 (11:8, 11:5, 7:11, 11:2) and Poles Igor Mištal and Maksim Čudzički 3:1 (11:2, 3:11, 11:7, 11:9).
Radović will finish the tournament in Laško with a performance in mixed doubles with Hungarian Aleksa Svitač.
