Montenegrin table tennis player Filip Radović and Hungarian Aleksa Svitač won the silver medal at the international Elite tournament in Laško, in the mixed doubles competition.
They were defeated today in the final match of the XD20 category by Hsien Jin Su and Yu Tsu Lin from Chinese Taipei 3:2 (11:9, 6:11, 11:9, 14:16 and 11:7).
Radović and Svitač finished the competition in first place in the group, after winning against Brazilian Gabriel Nunez de Oliveira and Nesilhan Kavas from Turkey 3:1 (11:2, 11:8, 10:12 and 11:5) and Ting Chun Lin from Chinese Taipei and Olga Gorshkaleva from Russia 3:2 (11:8, 6:11, 11:6, 8:11 and 11:7).
In the semifinals, they eliminated Yin Chi Wong and Yu Yan Lam from Hong Kong 3:0 (11:6, 11:1 and 11:7).
Yesterday, Radović, paired with Croatian Born Zohil, won the gold medal in the doubles competition (under 18 category), while he won silver in the singles competition.
The successful performance of Montenegrin para tennis was completed by Luka Bakić, who won the bronze medal in the S10 category.
The Montenegrin table tennis players in Laško were led by national team coach Vladimir Marić.
"The performance of the Montenegrin national team in Laško is financed by the POK program for 2025, which was supported by the Ministry of Sports and Youth", announced the Paralympic Committee.
